Jam Breakdown - 6/15/21 The Empress of Organos
Penned by Goose predecessor Vasudo, The Empress of Organos was revived by Goose at South Farms in Morris, CT on 11/6/20. Acting as a high-energy rager for its first couple of plays in late 2020, it evolved over the course of 2021 into one of the band’s most reliable jam vehicles, with numerous versions breaking past the 20-minute mark.
My favourite version to date is the show closer of the incredible 6/15/21 show in Perry, NY (Check out my breakdown of the A Western Sun -> Echo of a Rose here). An absolute balls-to-the-walls party jam, the Perry Organos has some incredible full-band interplay to dive into. A top contender for the Jam of the Year 2021 bracket - stay tuned to We Move Through Stormy Weather and @JiveGoose on Twitter for information about the competition in the coming weeks!!
Unfortunately, no video of this jam circulates, but listen along on Bandcamp or Nugs!
