Page McConnell's Phish Keyboard Rigs Through the Years
A complete breakdown of every single iteration of Page's rig!
IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON PAGE’S RIGS TO HELP FILL THIS OUT BETTER, PLEASE EMAIL ME!
1991/1992
This is the earliest I could find good images of what Page’s rig looked like – he could have had the Fender Rhodes at this time, but there are not pictures of it.
Facing Audience: Yamaha CP70 electric grand piano
Trey Side: Hammond M-100 organ (upgraded to a B3 in February 1992)
At this time, Trey’s Mesa Boogie amp would rest on top of Page’s organ on stage.
Image below is from Amy’s Farm in 1991.
February 1993 to July 1994
This was the introduction of Page’s baby grand, which replaced the CP70 as his main instrument. Page also shifted his organ to the back of the stage, probably due to the fact that the small venues Phish was playing didn’t have a big enough stage to point the baby grand to the front.

The Hammond B3 organ is run through a Leslie rotating speaker, mic’d on the top and bottom with rotation in opposite directions for a stereo effect. Page’s organ also is modified to have an extra percussive sound.

Effects/Amps: The clavinet is run through an MXR Phase90 phase shifter, a Vox wah pedal, and a Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier. Not visible (to me) up until this period is a Boss Noise Suppressor pedal in the signal chain just before the Deluxe Reverb, possibly to tame some hum/feedback created by the amp. The Fender Rhodes is run through a Maestro phase shifter. The Voyager was run through both a Boss DM-2W and what I believe to be a Boss DD-8 Digital Delay at separate times.

Page works the Prophet (last in the rig during 2011) in Mexico, February 2022
May 2022 to Present
The above video is from summer 2022.
Facing Audience: Yamaha C7 grand piano, Hohner Clavinet D6

Not in Main Rig: Moog Liberator keytar
Effects/Amps: The clavinet is run through an MXR Phase90 phase shifter, a Vox wah pedal, and a Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier. The Fender Rhodes is run through a Maestro phase shifter. Page’s Hammond organ has a custom volume pedal modification to make it easier for him to use it while further away from the instrument.
As revealed in his summer 2022 rig tour video, the Hammond and Rhodes both have delay pedals that look to be the JHS Lucky Cat (or Pink Panther), but I am not 100% sure.
Page on CS60 at Jones Beach, 7/26/22. The newer Rev2 is directly above it.
Before he got a Hammond b3 he used a Hammond m-100 chop with a Leslie 760 customized by Goff Professional. He also used a Trek II UC-1A combo preamp for the Leslie and a Ernie Ball volume pedal.
